Unless you are a somewhat involved NBA fan you won't know that this picture is of JJ Barea. Why lead a Jimmer post talking about JJ Barea? Because if JJ Barea at 5'7" and not nearly as good a shooter, without the dynamite crossover can make a living in the NBA and influence a world Championship then Jimmer Fredette is going to be All Pro. No offense to JJ, but Jimmer can flat out score and it doesn't matter if you put three 6'10" track athletes on him. (Ask SDSU)Players that are known for playing defense have to become defensive players because they don't have the offensive game Jimmer does. If you can hide JJ Barea's defensive liability, you should be pleasantly surprised at what Jimmer will bring to the table. So now that we know he will be a star (yes I know I am a homer and don't care to pretend otherwise), we just need to figure out where it's going to happen.
The Contenders

Sacramento Kings #7
Most "draft experts" (how do you get that job?) think that would be a little too high for the greatest scoring college player of our generation. Well, they are right in that most teams think that but wrong in that Jimmer will prove what the GM that drafts him a genius. Should he end up in Sac he'd be an interesting compliment to Tyreke Evans. Most think the tandem would be too unconventional with too much dribbling and they are probably right. Look for the Kings to deal Tyreke if they make Jimmer the selection.
Utah Jazz #12
The problem here is that Jazz fans (I am not one) are getting a little frustrated with the overload of white draft picks. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't just draft the somewhat underperforming (except for one game) Gordon Hayward. Yet, deep down many of these passionate fans still hope that Jimmer will come to their team like school girls hoping for New Kids on The Block to perform at their assembly. From a marketing and business standpoint, the Jazz would be intellectually challenged (didn't want Sarah Palin to get mad at me for saying retarded) if they didn't draft the Jimmer. Even this non Jazz fan would be tempted to buy a jersey. I don't even need to mention that they could use a non power forward and especially a dude that can consistently can threes even if everyone but his girlfriend thinks it would be anti-climatic for him to stay here. If available, I'd be shocked if this doesn't happen.
Phoenix Suns #13
Can anybody else think of a white dude who can hit off the wall floaters, clutch threes, and is known for his defensive liabilities? Well, Steve Nash (even my wife knows who he is) would be an unbelievable mentor for James T. Fredette in quest for NBA greatness. Will Jimmer still be around? Probably not. Julie wants him to go to the here or in the West so he'll still be close to Whitney Wonnnacott, his bombshell BYU cheerleader girlfriend. See, Whitney still has to finish up at BYU. Girls are all about the love story.
Indiana Pacers #15
Talk about another team with the capability of putting a white out on the floor. Imagine getting a call from the guy some call Basketball Jesus. I could tell you my heart would stop and my head would hit the floor. Now imagine him giving you a draft guarantee at #15. Since I'd already be passed out I don't know that I would have heard him. Did this happen? Yeah I think so. With the lack of a shooting guarding, they could use someone with instant offense he provides. Darren Collison has emerged as a great point guard to play with. But will they add him to their white arsenal? Not unless they want to move up.
New York Knicks #17
Here's the wild card. Can the Knicks move up to get the home town hero that will provided the needed outside game to complement their post scorers in Anthony and Stoudemire? Will Jimmer fit in with Coach D'Antoni's style? Like a gay dude in San Fran or a Mormon in Provo. He was built for Seven Seconds or Less. You better step out on Jimmer or you will get hurt. They need him to open the game up inside. Oh and defense, who cares? But the big questions is, Who can they deal for him? They really only have one asset left. The untouchable Landry Fields who they wouldn't give up for Melo. Would they give him up for Jimmer? Well, we'll find out real quick what they think of Jimmer. My money, it's on the Knicks. They make the move and put the chips on the table. And trust me this bet will pay off.

J. J. Barea "influence[d] a world Championship" - thats a liberal use of the influence.
